Paris, France, 21 December 2017 – To formally establish their commitment to the Global Deal and to gather support from French stakeholders to the initiative, the French Ministry of Labor hosted a national Global Deal meeting in Paris.
Geneva, Switzerland, 22 November 2017. Sweden’s Prime Minister Stefan Löfven hosted a well-attended high-level seminar about Global Deal and trade together with WTO Director-General Roberto Azevêdo under the title “Making Globalization Work for Everyone”.
Prime Minister Stefan Löfven launches an international group of senior advisors to the Global Deal for decent work and inclusive growth. The group will give strategic advise for the future work of the Global Deal initiative.
During the Social Summit for Fair Jobs and Growth held in Gothenburg on 17 November, President Emmanuel Macron declared that France joins the Global Deal.
